I know I haven’t updated the website enough but I encourage everyone to check out the 3 new storm customers:

Alibi Room - Pilsner
Habit (Main St) - IPA
Mysala (Granville St. & Smithe) - Pilsner and IPA

I don’t often accept new customers, but I believe these places have unique food pairing opportunities. Also, relatively new, if you haven’t checked out Chambar on Beatty Street, you should. They’ve been pairing the Black Plague Stout with a chocolate dessert and have had my IPA on tap before.

The Whip Restaurant Gallery Brewers’ Dinner is on January 13th. I’m bringing a pin of 1997 Black Current Lambic, that is cask conditioning already to pair with some kind of heavy chocolate dessert. Should be a great event.

Thanks —James (Owner\ brewer\ delivery driver of Storm Brewing Ltd.)

The Whip Real Ale Sundays

Hi all, James will be preparing a delicious food paring for this Sunday’s event at The Whip (209 East 6th ave). On cask will be the Black Plague Stout refermented with succulent berries and served with James’ world renouned Chocolate Ganache. If you’re a fan of beer and chocolate it’s not one to miss!
UPDATE:
Actually, the Whip is making the dessert. They make food for a living, James makes beer. Sorry for the confusion :/

Cask Night @ Dix

So James is concocting something special for Cask Night @ Dix this Thursday and will only be revealed to those who show up. Cutting edge? Bleeding edge? Be there or be square!

We don’t need no stinking Dix!

Hi all, due to some football game the Dix Cask Night is cancelled and just because I have a cask of Raspberry Ale lying around, I will be tapping it at The Whip (209 East 6th ave) Thursday 19th at 5pm. This is kind of a chick beer that was inspired by Tony’s raspberry cane surrounded farm in Aldergrove.
See you there, James

Warning: Intense Beer Alert!

Hi all, once again we’re exploding on the scene at The Whip Real Ale Sundays (209 East 6th ave) June 24th at 4pm. The beer is a super charged Amber Ale containing guarana and coffee, giving it an 80mg kick of caffeine per pint. I hope to see you all there. Cheers, James.
